I don’t think Gigapan would work for me for 3 reasons: 1) I sometimes shoot fairly slow shutter speeds, 2) I shoot with a heavy lens/camera combination (D3s/70-200mm), and 3) I frequently shoot different areas of the scene to know when to begin my sequence (I shoot tethered to a laptop with a good screen). This would be more difficult with Giga). My friend did not get sharp images after sunset.

Say, I’m a student at Maricopa and I was wondering: I notice you have Nodal Ninja as a partner. Have you played around with Gigapan’s robotic pano heads at all? They seem expensive, but it looks like they come with stitching software. Anyway. I have limited income, so I’m going to buy something once and I want to make sure I get what I want without breaking the bank.
